GENDER ESPECIALIST CONSULTANT
Primary Responsibilities:
- The role focuses on identifying challenges and finding opportunities for gender integration into the project.
- The assignment will specifically identify entry point for engaging women in the project activities and also identify opportunities for watersheds to the extent necessary to conduct a thorough and comprehensive gender analysis and provide guidance to the project technical team on how to strengthen gender mainstreaming in project activities, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in international development, international relations, sociology, vocational education, or related field, Master's Degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and implementing gender mainstreaming strategies and policies for development programs.
- Experience in the development of gender analysis, gender action plans, and conducting gender related research and interviews for development programs.
-Experience training technical staff on gender mainstreaming strategies ability to develop tools (manuals, guidelines, etc), for gender-related monitoring and evaluation.
- Demostrated knowledge of data collection and analysis as it relates to measuring the impact of development programs on gender issues:
- Experience working on gender issues in Latin America is highly desired.
- Experience working and gender mainstreaming activities in environmental projects is a plus.
- Native spanish speaker and working knowledge in English with excellent written and spoken communications skills.
- Strong team-work and interpersonal skills required.
- Candidate must be based in Lima, and willing to travel regionally.
- Experience with USAID-funded programs and familiarity with USAID regulations is a plus
is seeking a part time Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist based in Lima to work with the Usaid funded Partnering for Adaptation and Resilience- Agua Project (PARA-Agua)
MONITORING AND EVALUATION SPECIALIST (MyE)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Specialist will be responsible for data collection, verification and management and result reporting, collecting and writing success stories, as well as coordination with subcontractors and other project partners to capture activity results.
Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelor's degree in qualitative/applied research, Statistics or Economics required. Master's Degree
preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of demostrated experience in the design and management of evaluations (impact and performance) analyses and assesments, including survey development, developing performance management plans, participatory data collection methods and protocols, and data quality verification techniques from large development projects.
- Must posses technical familiarity with evaluation methods and standards under the Usaid Evaluation Policy.
- Experience providing high quality M&E Services to Usaid funded programs in the areas of environmental protection,climate change, enviromental compliance strongly preferred.
- Fluency in spoken and written English required and fluency in Spanish preferred.
- Computer proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demostrated ability to colaborate and lead decision- making within a team.
- Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills, including oral presentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Latin America and Caribbean region required. |
