1. Purpose and Scope of Work:The World Bank country office in Peru is
responsible for overseeing the program of the Latin America and Caribbean Region in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. With a decentralized Country Director, the Lima office is the Regional Hub for these countries. The country office is home to more than 45 staff responsible for maintaining a successful relationship with Peruvian clients. Office values include dedication, hard work, teamwork and cooperation among colleagues. The office is seeking a Facilities Coordinator who will be responsible of overall day-to-day supervision of Lima office facilities, security, staff resettlement issues as well as the backstop logistical point person for conferences. This individual will work closely with the Country Director and Resource Management Analyst, and be a member of the Lima Office Administration Team.
 

2. Criteria for Selection:
  • 2 years post High School diploma; Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; Excellent oral and written command of English and Spanish; Proven record of reliability as needed by someone in charge of security issues; Ability to function well and provide leadership in emergency situations; Proven record of taking initiative when needed and ability/expertise in analyzing and resolving complex problems and providing recommended solutions; Ability to research, analyze and synthesize information, retrieve information from large complex databases, using elaborate queries, and clearly and concisely prepare results; Ability to work effectively with internal/ external partners in a multi-cultural environment; Ability to identify and highlight key issues and recommend appropriate actions; Recognized as a results-oriented team player who is adaptable to changing business needs and capable of contributing to the Unit's success/effectiveness.

TRANSACTION SPECIALIST
1. Purpose and Scope of Work:
  • The World Bank country office in Peru is responsible for overseeing the program of the Latin America and Caribbean Region in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. With a decentralized Country Director, the Lima office is the Regional Hub for these countries. The country office is home to more than 45 staff responsible for maintaining a successful relationship with Peruvian clients. Office values include dedication, hard work, teamwork and cooperation among colleagues. The office is seeking a Transaction Specialist (TSp) to carry out financial and administrative tasks in coordination with the Resource Management (RM) Analyst. Duties include the processing of financial transactions and payment of invoices, as well as maintaining accounting and budget files.

2. Criteria for Selection:
  • High School diploma, preferably with some training in accounting, business, or financial management; Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; Excellent oral and written command of English and Spanish; Ability to work with financial data, interpret policies and procedures, understand the controls framework; Demonstrated proficiency in the use of financial/accounting systems (preferably SAP); Excellent time management and organizational skills; Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative; High level of integrity, mature judgment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to exercise good judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information; Takes ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed-upon results.
